The Australian Rugby community is morning the loss of former Australian Test referee, Anthony Garling.
A former district court Judge and New South Wales Rugby Referee, Garling officiated two international tests during the 1980’s as well as a handful of premierships games, including NSW Country v Wales in 1978.
In addition to this, Garling refereed 102 Shute Shield matches in NSW and countless suburban and junior fixtures throughout his career.
Garling’s unwavering contribution to the Rugby community is one which will not be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Jane, three children and eight grandchildren.
