Referee from Under 13's to opens in both men and women's rugby.

In order to start refereeing age groups of Under 13 up to adult rugby, you would need to do the following:

  1. Attend a Foundation course (RRP $95, 8 hours, face-to-face, at a minimum you must be turning 15 in the calendar year to attend)
  2. Pass a Level 1 Referee online exam Pass a Level 1 Referee competency assessment (to be conducted by a local Referee Association).

Get involved!

Courses are co-ordinated and run by the State Unions. Courses usually run regularly from February to June, but some additional courses are held in other months.

You can register for an upcoming Foundation course in your area by using the Rugby Learning Centre. You access the Rugby Learning Centre through the Rugby Portal – you will need to sign in or create a new account in order to register.
