Rugby World Cup Australia is excited to off`-er an opportunity for a CRM Specialist (internally known as our Fan Communications) to join our Sydney‑based team as we build towards Rugby World Cup 2027. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role plays a key part in connecting fans to the tournament through smart, well‑timed, and data‑led communications that support ticket sales, experiences, and long‑term fan engagement. Working at the centre of our Marketing and Communications team, you’ll use CRM and customer insights to help shape targeted campaigns, improve fan journeys, and bring our communications to life across email and digital channels. You’ll ensure fans experience a consistent, compelling tone of voice while working closely with internal teams, ticketing, agencies, unions, and partners to deliver clear, coordinated communications across the tournament ecosystem.

- Use fan data and insights to support ticket sales and fan experiences for Rugby World Cup 2027, helping deliver engaging, relevant communications through well‑structured CRM activity.
- Deliver clear, engaging fan communications and copy, ensuring a consistent tone of voice across email and digital channels while keeping messaging aligned with internal teams.
- Support the day‑to‑day management and improvement of CRM systems, helping plan, maintain, and optimise how CRM connects with other tools and platforms across the business.
- Work closely with our CRM agency partner, supporting campaigns, timelines, and day‑to‑day requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, rugby unions, and external partners to ensure fan communications are joined up, timely, and consistent across the full tournament journey.
- Track performance, share insights, and stay curious about new ideas and industry trends, helping continuously improve how fan data and CRM are used to connect with audiences.
- 3–5 years’ experience working with CRM, ideally in a commercial, event, sport, or fast‑paced consumer environment, with exposure to major events or large‑scale campaigns.
- Comfortable working with CRM platforms and digital marketing tools, and happy to learn and adapt as systems evolve.
- A strong and confident copywriter, able to create engaging, fan‑friendly messages across email, digital, and campaign communications.
- A team‑oriented collaborator who enjoys working with different teams, partners, and agencies to bring ideas to life.
- Naturally curious and analytical, with the ability to look at data, spot patterns, and turn insights into practical actions and stories.
- Flexible, resilient, and well‑organised, able to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast‑moving environment.
- A clear communicator and strong relationship‑builder with a positive attitude, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in sport, live events, or entertainment.
- Hybrid game plan: Work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with a 3-day in-office schedule (Tues–Thu), moving to full-time in-office in 2027 as the tournament approaches.
