The 2019 National Rugby Championship is down to the final four with the Semi Finals set for this weekend as teams vie for a spot in this year’s decider.
The Western Force will have the home ground advantage as they take on Brisbane City at UWA Sports Park, looking to become the first Western Australian side to reach the final since 2016.
The Vikings will be looking to avenge their 2018 semi-final exit as they take on the Fijian Drua at Viking Park on Sunday afternoon. It’s a case of déjà vu for both teams, with Sunday’s fixture a rematch of the 2018 semi-final fixture in Lautoka, where Drua emerged victorious and went on to win their maiden NRC title the following week.
The 2019 NRC Semi Finals will also continue the fundraising efforts kicked off in Rural Aid Round , with proceeds going to support farmers and regional communities affected by one of the most severe droughts in memory.
Funds raised at both matches over the weekend will contribute to the money raised in round six as well as the initial $5000 donation by Rugby AU which kicked off the campaign last month.
