Rugby Australia is pleased to welcome Cape Mentelle as the Official Wine Partner of the Wallaroos.

The three-year partnership will see Cape Mentelle from Margaret River, WA become the official wine of the Wallaroos through to 2027.

Cape Mentelle has a portfolio of premium wines and pride themselves on respecting the long-established processes and cultures that make it an exceptional winery.

Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said the partnership with Cape Mentelle represented another strong addition to the Wallaroos' rapidly expanding commercial stable.

"The Wallaroos are delighted to welcome Cape Mentelle as official wine partner for the next three years," Waugh said.

"It is a massive year for the Wallaroos, headlined by a Rugby World Cup in the UK, and we look forward to raising a glass of Cape Mentelle and toasting their progress along the journey.

"Women’s Rugby in Australia is thriving from the community to the international level and that is being reflected in the Wallaroos growing suite of commercial partners.

"Cape Mentelle is a valued addition to that stable and, on behalf of all of us at Rugby Australia, we thank Paul Walton and his outstanding team for their support."

Paul Walton, Director of Cape Mentelle said the partnership with the Wallaroos was a natural alignment.

"Cape Mentelle is an admired brand. Their esteemed winemaking and viticultural teams champion inclusion and diversity, with accomplished women in key roles across the winery," Walton said.

"They proudly share values of perseverance, tenacity, and the relentless pursuit of excellence which mirror those of our national women’s rugby union team."

The Wallaroos finish the Pacific Four series on Friday afternoon when they face off against Canada at Suncorp Stadium (4:55pm AEST).
