Registering annually as a coach is the first and most important step of your coaching career.. All players, non-playing members, and match officials are required to register for coverage under the Rugby Australia National Insurance Scheme. Registered coaches will receive support from RA and our Member Unions based on their accreditation profile.

At Rugby Australia we've built 8-week training plans with videos, specifically for coaches from U6 to U18s. So check out the Coaching Hub for all the digital resources you need as a coach.

The Rugby Learning Centre is the place to go to complete the Smart Rugby online course. Smart Rugby is our 'work and safety' program, designed to provide coaches with the necessary skills to coach the contact elements of the game safely. All coaches from U8 and above must hold this accreditation to coach.
