Get into Rugby
Activities
To support the development of the fundamental movement and Rugby-specific skills of participants, Get into Rugby utilises three different activity types, each with a particular and important role to play.
1. Activations
Activities with a focus on the fundamental movements that support participation in Rugby. Ideal as warm up and warm down activities, Activations require minimal explanation or stoppages and maximise time in play for participants.
2. Skills
Individual, paired, and whole-of-group activities focusing on introducing participants to the core skills of Rugby including Catch and Pass, Evasion, and Kicking.
3. Contact Readiness
Activities with a focus on introducing participants to and building confidence in contact. Designed specifically for Get into Rugby Tri Time participants, Contact Readiness activities are important in supporting participants readiness for Junior Rugby.
