Women in Rugby Leadership Program

Nominations will be taken in the following streams:

• Club Administrators
• Coaches
• Match Officials

The Program will be delivered in three parts:

1. Leadership Conference: Two day F2F Leadership Conference (March 2-3, Sydney) delivered by ex Australian Cricket Captain and administrator Belinda Clark from the Leadership Playground. Pre and post conference catch up's with Belinda and her team.
2. Professional Development: 5 x monthly professional development sessions, specific to participants nominated stream.
3. Tournament experience for Coaches and MO's. 1:1 Club development support for Club Administrators.

The program will run from February 2024 - October 2024

Eligibility Criteria:

• Aged 18 or over
• Identify as a female
• Coaches: Level 2 coaching accreditation
• Club administrator: Committee member with 3+ years experience
• Match Officials: Level 2 Referee or Referee Coach accreditation
• Nominees are available to participate in all components of the program

Assessment and approvals:

All applications will be first assessed against the eligibility criteria and then all eligible applications with be assessed by an internal panel at Rugby Australia. This panel will consist of heads of department within the three streams and will be responsible for the final decision.

Assessment Criteria:

• Nominee clearly outlines why they want to undertake the program
• Nominee clearly outlines future aspirations within rugby
• Nominee clearly outlines how the program will support their leadership development in the game

Rugby Australia will provide successful applicants the following:

• Tools and resources to fast-track development and performance
• Networking opportunities with like-minded individuals in rugby
• Journal for goal setting, performance tracking and accountability
• Travel & accommodation to attend the leadership conference and end of season tournament
