Procurement Coordinator (Men's RWC 2027)

Closing date for applications is Monday 10 November 2025

Full time Fixed Term Contract: February 2026 – November 2027

Location: Sydney (Gadigal), Australia

The Rugby World Cup (RWC) Australia is proud to deliver one of the world’s most iconic sporting events — the Rugby World Cup 2027 (Men’s). More than a tournament, it’s a celebration of Rugby’s spirit, Australia’s culture, and the power of sport to unite and inspire communities around the world.

About the role

We’re looking for a Procurement Coordinator to support the Senior Procurement Manager in delivering the Rugby World Cup Australia procurement programme. This role is task-driven, process-focused, and highly administrative, perfect for someone who thrives on organisation, accuracy, and teamwork. You’ll work closely with our Senior Procurement Manager, providing day-to-day administrative support across multiple procurement projects. This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced professional, gain insight into large-scale procurement operations, and be part of a dynamic, purpose-driven team.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Competitive salary – we know world-class talent deserves to be rewarded.
  • Hybrid game plan: Work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with a 3-day in-office schedule (Tues–Thu), moving to full-time in-office in 2027 as the tournament approaches.
  • Unbeatable location: A modern space across from Sydney’s Hyde Park, just a 5-minute walk from Town Hall, surrounded by public transport, great cafes, restaurants, and shops.
  • Wellbeing first: Weekly fresh fruit, Lunch & Learns and a focus on keeping our team feeling their best on and off the field.
  • Locker-room ready: Showers, fresh towels, and Dyson hair tools so you can reset and refresh any time.
  • Team spirit: Weekly drinks and social catchups that celebrate wins big and small.
  • Make your mark: Play a key role in bringing the third largest sporting event in the world to life right here in Australia!

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with procurement documentation and tender processes.
  • Coordinating and tracking procurement activities to ensure timelines are met.
  • Reviewing and processing supplier submissions within the self-service procurement model.
  • Supporting communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Senior Procurement Manager across all procurement projects.

About You

You’re an organised, curious, and solutions-focused administrator who thrives on bringing order to busy environments. You enjoy supporting others and take real pride in keeping projects on track ensuring details don’t slip through the cracks and deadlines are met with precision. You’re naturally collaborative and work well with a variety of personalities, always ready to lend a hand, share ideas, and find better ways to get things done. Fast-paced environments energise you rather than overwhelm you, and you have a calm, can-do attitude when things get busy. Above all, you take pride in delivering quality work that supports the team’s success and contributes to something bigger.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in administration or coordination (ideally supporting a procurement, operations, or finance team).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and get things done.
  • Integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • A personable and approachable nature, someone who’s friendly, adaptable, and easy to work with.

Australia’s hosting of the Rugby World Cup is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to grow the game, celebrate our people and culture, and deliver lasting social and economic impact.
