Qantas Wallabies scrumhalf Joe Powell has committed his future to Australian Rugby, re-signing with Rugby Australia and the Brumbies until the end of 2020.

Fresh off earning his fourth Test cap in the final Mitsubishi Estate Ireland Series clash, Powell has inked a two-year extension to remain in the nation’s capital.

The 24-year old has established himself a Vodafone Super Rugby regular with the Brumbies after his first national squad selection in June 2016.

Qantas Wallabies scrumhalf Joe Powell said: “I’m really excited for what we’re building at the Brumbies but also the Wallabies and I’m really enjoying being part of that.

“The World Cup is a big target of mine for next year but right now I’m just focused on playing the best possible footy for the Brumbies and hopefully challenge for the Super Rugby title again,” Powell said.

Powell made his Super Rugby debut in 2015 after signing a short-term deal as injury cover for then-halfback Nic White.
