Exporting and Protecting Data - Rugby Xplorer Reports
  • As club administrators, you manage important member and club information in Rugby Xplorer. Reports are a great way to keep track of registrations, finances, and more-but it’s also important to keep this data safe.
  • Here are some simple steps you can take to protect your club’s information, based on advice from Cyber Wardens and the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC):
  • Key Data Security Principles
    • Share Carefully: Only give exported reports to people who really need them for club work. Don’t send sensitive files over text or social media.
    • Use Strong Passwords: Make sure your Rugby Xplorer account and your computer or phone have strong passwords.
    • Multi-Factor Authentication: Turn on two-step login (multi-factor authentication) for all accounts, not just Rugby Xplorer.
    • Delete When Done: Once you’ve finished with a report, delete it from your device and email. Don’t keep old data you no longer need.
    • Keep Devices Safe: Make sure your computer, phone, and any USB drives are locked with a password or PIN. If possible, set them to lock automatically when not in use.
    • Stay Alert: Watch out for suspicious emails or messages asking for club information. If you’re not sure, double-check before sharing anything.
  • By following these simple steps, you help protect your club and its members from data loss or cybercrime. For more easy tips, check out Cyber Wardens or the ACSC Small Business Guide.
  • Let’s keep our club’s information safe together!
