Rugby Australia (Rugby AU) the governing body of Rugby Union in Australia, is looking for a Marketing Executive to join the Marketing & Content team on the precipice of the forthcoming golden decade for Australian Rugby.

Purpose of the Role

The Marketing Executive is a key role within the Marketing & Content team, core to providing coordination and administration support across some of Australia’s most exciting and leading sports brands including the Wallabies, Wallaroos, AU Sevens, Super Rugby Pacific and RugbyComAu.

Key to supporting the delivery of RugbyAU’ s go-to-market plans, the role will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and work across a dedicated team to support the development and execution of ongoing promotional campaigns, management of website and coordination of social media.

Key Areas of Responsibility / Outcomes

  • Support the Marketing and Media Managers in the development, coordination and delivery of key advertising and promotion campaigns including production of assets via internal and external support including agency and internal graphic design team.
  • Assist with media schedules and reporting during campaign periods and present analysis back to key stakeholders.
  • Assist the Marketing & Content team to support website and email content curation, management, and reporting.
  • Help the Digital & Content Manager to support Social Media publishing, moderation, and reporting.
  • Support the Commercial team in the management and delivery of contractual partner initiatives.
  • Coordinate and participate in key Marketing meetings including work-in-progress, briefing and team meetings.
  • Coordinate and manage key Marketing processes including Budget (tracking and reconciliation), Work-in-progress (population and updates) and Finances (Purchase Orders, Invoice Payment).

Measures of Success in Role

  • Possess marketing knowledge gained through a formal qualification.
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience in either agency or client-side with an insatiable curiosity for human behaviour and decision making.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational capacity to manage priorities and work under pressure against deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail who will act as a brand gatekeeper to ensure consistency and efficiency in execution.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding new and innovative ways to engage audiences and achieve marketing objectives.
  • Ability to foster and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a love for fast paced environments.
  • A positive, friendly, proactive, and collaborative work approach.
