Queensland Rugby Union is looking to recruit a Regional Rugby Manager Servicing Metropolitan West and Darling Downs.

About the role

As the Regional Rugby Manager, you will plan, develop, promote and deliver participation strategies across your region to increase overall participation in Rugby Union.  

  • Develop a network of trainers and educators
  • Manage a system of active registration for key workforce categories
  • Provide a system of regular training, continuing development and resource support
  • Manage a quality assurance system for competition management
  • Ensure participation programs deliver qualitative outcomes
  • Create opportunities for inclusion and diversity
  • Support customer financial importance
  • Coordinate a perpetual State Facilities Strategy

Position Requirements

The Regional Rugby Managers shall have the following skills, demonstrated by experience:

  • Experience in both working as a volunteer and working with volunteers and volunteer committees
  • Delivery of sports participation strategies
  • Technical experience in Rugby Union (Level 2 Coach+)
  • Demonstrated ability to performance manage processes, people and tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Web based competition management systems, social media platforms, productivity and project management tools

An ability to work weekends and after hours, including some travel, a current drivers licence and the ability to successfully attain a Blue Card are requirements of the role.  The position will undertake travel as required.
