Modified Rugby Program
The program embodies what Rugby is all about: passion, determination, commitment and above all, community.

Modified Rugby Session

The world-first Modified Rugby Program (MRP) was set up through the GingerCloud Foundation in 2014.

Their goal is to encourage more children and young adults with learning and perceptual disabilities to play Rugby through their touch-only format.

The GingerCloud Foundation has created specific allied health, leadership and coaching frameworks which allow all Rugby clubs to deliver the MRP in an environment where people feel safe, understood and experience success.

In 2016 Rugby Australia endorsed the MRP as a new division of Rugby in Australia. Now more than 250 participants are signed up across three divisions with a clear pathway from ages seven to 25.

The program has since been rolled out in Brisbane, Redlands, Toowoomba and Townsville.

Co-Founder and Managing Director of GingerCloud Megan Elliott said: “The program embodies what Rugby is all about: passion, determination, commitment and above all, community.’’
