Japanese real estate developer Mitsubishi Estate has today been announced as the Qantas Wallabies Test match naming rights partner for the next two years.
Mitsubishi Estate boasts the leading position in the Japanese market, operating a range of businesses connected to real estate development, including office developments, retail property, residential and hotel businesses.
The Mitsubishi Estate logo will feature on all official branding for the upcoming Ireland Series as well as the next two editions of The Rugby Championship.
By linking with Rugby Australia and the Qantas Wallabies, Mitsubishi Estate has deepened its connection to Rugby, having signed on last month as an official sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2019 on top of its naming rights partnership for Super Rugby in Japan for the 2018 season.
Rugby Australia Chief Executive, Raelene Castle said: “We are incredibly proud to have Mitsubishi Estate come on board as our Test match naming rights partner and official real estate developer for the next two years.
“The Mitsubishi Estate Group has recently expanded its operations into the Australian market, partnering on the development of some of the largest residential buildings in the country.
“Mitsubishi Estate has aligned with Rugby through a shared set of values and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with Australian Rugby and the Wallabies on top of their recently-announced partnerships with Super Rugby and Rugby World Cup 2019.”
Mitsubishi Estate President and CEO Junichi Yoshida said: “It is a great honour to be the Test naming rights partner of all 2018 and 2019 Test Matches hosted by the Wallabies. We look forward to contributing to their success and enhancing the excitement of the Mitsubishi Estate Ireland Series and the Mitsubishi Estate Rugby Championship together with rugby fans all over the world, participating players, and officials.”
