Kick Golf

Description

Assemble a miniature 'golf course' using cones to represent each hole.

Participants take turns kicking the ball towards the 'hole' with the aim of reaching it in as few kicks as possible.

Encourage participants to experiment with different kick types each hole.

Equipment
  • 4 x cones per hole
  • 1 x ball per participant

Coaching Outcome

Participants learn to perform different kick types and develop kick control and accuracy in this fun and challenging game.

Change It
  • Alter the distance to the 'hole', with a greater distance more challenging for participants.
  • Assign a set kick type for each hole e.g. “grubber kick only”.

Check for Understanding
  • Why do we use different types of kicks during a game?
  • How can we control the accuracy of our kicks?
  • Where should we be looking when kicking the ball?
