Tri Tag Rugby is an important part of the national community rugby strategy and will be implemented into pathway law over time as a non-contact alternative and progression into contact rugby.
Tri Tag Rugby also allows clubs and/or districts to conduct offseason competitions, which are perfect for:
- Existing players to sharpen their skills and stay fit
- Introducing new participants to the game of rugby
- Socialising and having fun
- Increasing community engagement
- Generating new revenue streams
It is our ambition that clubs not only broaden their participation base and increase retention, but also, generate revenue to reinvest back into its members, complement rugby’s core products (XV’s & 7’s), and provide the best rugby experience possible for everyone involved.
How to Get Involved
Interested in running Tri Tag Rugby? Submit an expression of interest form to book a “Come and Try Day” at your club. A member of our Community Rugby team will come and show your club how the game works, along with help educate and train club members and potential referees.
