Children and Young People

Rugby should be fun and enjoyable; a place where you feel safe and respected and enjoy taking part.

We work hard to make sure that you are free to enjoy rugby without being discriminated against, harassed, bullied or abused.

If something has happened to you that has upset you, or that you don’t think is right, and you’d like to tell someone, please tell us or an adult you trust as soon as possible. We will always listen to you and treat what you tell us seriously.

You can call us, anytime, on 1800 843 463, or you can click the button below.

Remember, in Rugby, you:

  • Have the right to feel safe, and not be bullied, threatened or intimidated
  • Have the right to not be treated differently, based on your characteristics, such as your skin colour, gender, sexuality or religion
  • Should expect the adults at your club to put your safety and wellbeing first and listen to you and take you seriously
  • Should expect the adults at your club to keep you safe, never endanger you and never do anything towards you that is harmful
  • Have the right to healthy relationships between you and the adults at your club. This includes being listened to when you say no, and being allowed to say how you feel
If you want to know more about what you can expect from adults in rugby, please read our Know Your Rights document, below.
