Behind every great rugby team is a great coach. Someone who motivates and believes in their team through thick and thin.

The Community Coach of the Year Award is the teams' chance to say thank you.

The award can be given to any current community level coach from U6s to A Grade who has a current Smart Rugby accreditation.

The winner will be invited to the prestigious Rugby Australia Awards (formerly known as the John Eales Medal) in Sydney in late November.

This will include two VIP tickets as well as flights and accommodation if necessary.

You can nominate more than one person for this award, however you can only nominate one person at a time.

Nominations close Thursday September 5. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.

Rugby Australia will then send a shortlist of nominees to the National Coaching Advisory Panel who will select the winner.

The winner will be contacted shortly after and recognised on Rugby Australia’s website and social media channels.

The award is made possible through the support of the Australian Rugby Foundation.
