Smart Rugby

Smart Rugby is the mandatory coaching qualification for all coaches of the tackle game in Australia.

Junior Coach

Having the right tools and information to coach our Junior players (U8-U12) is crucial for their development. Here are some programs to help put them on the right path.

Youth Coach

Youth Coaching is about teaching the U19 Law form of the game and guiding players on their participation journey. To coach Community Rugby you must hold a current Smart Rugby and Season Ready (Coach) certification.

Senior Coach

Senior Rugby refers to U19s and above. To coach Senior Rugby you must complete a Smart Rugby course, should complete a Developing Coach Course, and are encouraged to begin your Level 2 accreditation.

Emerging Talent Coach

Rugby Australia and Member Unions run Emerging Coach (Level 3) programs for coaches of talent pathway athletes.
