2023 season competitions have begun.

Rugby Events Admin Updates
  • All Rugby Events need to be created via Rugby Events > Rugby Event Comps > Create Rugby Event. They cannot be created via the “create competitions” link and ‘mark this competition as a rugby event’.
  • Rugby Event registrants will appear in Member Management (Members > Member Management). However, the active registration team will not appear on the home page.
  • Saleable items can now be added into rugby events and if ‘team pays’ is selected, saleable items are calculated by price x number of players per team.
  • Rugby Event Fees Breakdown page has been updated to include any mandatory saleable items.
  • “Referees” tab has been replicated in Rugby Event comps allowing for easy appointment board assignment for the event organisers.
  • Clubs Squad Management page will show whether the team is a Rugby Event team, indicated by ‘yes’ in the Rugby Event column.
  • Rugby Event Transfer Report has been updated to include players first and last name or team name and registration date.
  • Rugby Event Team and/or Players who have paid fees with a credit/debit card can request a Rugby Xplorer Credit/Cash Refund through their Rugby Xplorer Portal.
    • Note, team requests can only request a ‘cash refund’ as Rugby Xplorer credits cannot be applied to team registration payments in the future.

  • Rugby Event organisers can move players and team officials from one team to another within the same association. More information can be found here.
  • Rugby Event organisers can upload additional documentation to their rugby event submission including their competition rules and judicial procedures. Note, multiple documents can be uploaded but will need to be in PDF format.

Registration Updates
  • Registration expired email notification text has been updated.
    • Weekly registrations will expire at 11.55pm on the 7th day and the Registration Report has been updated to reflect this.
  • Rugby Event team registrations will only show ‘active’ clubs in the search results.

Rugby Portal Updates
  • Team Registrations History has been added for the primary account holder, i.e. team admins who have registered a team for a Rugby Event.
    • This will list all teams that member has registered including active 2023 teams and inactive teams.
    • Team admins can request a refund for a team paid in full i.e., split payment teams can only request a refund once both payments have been paid.
  • Registration History includes a “clearance/transfer?” button directing participants to the domestic clearance help page.

Rugby Xplorer App Updates
  • Have you updated your Rugby Xplorer app to ensure you have the latest functionality?

Admin Portal Updates
  • Team admins will be able to download a Squad List Report for team(s) they have been given user permissions for. This includes team admins for both community teams and rugby event teams.
  • National admins are now able to ‘deactivate’ entities which are no longer active in Rugby Xplorer.
    • We are in the process of deactivating duplicate clubs that have been created through the Rugby Events registration process and previously marked ‘inactive’ entities.
    • Please note, we are not deactivating entities that are attached to 2023 Rugby Events. These will be removed as part of the 2023/24 season rollover process.
  • Admin portal will display on iPad browsers.
  • Draw Import template has been updated to show the date column as ‘text’ format, which will allow the template to be uploaded.

Rugby Xplorer Credit & Refund Requests
  • Please remind your players that if they are moving clubs they need to request a clearance and register to their new club before the refund is processed.
    • This is to ensure that the applicable conversion discounts are applied on their active registration. Once a refund/credit is processed, the registration changes to inactive and no conversions will apply.

Customer Service - Saturday Hours
  • Customer service is now available on Saturday's and they are open 9am-2pm (AEST).
