Rugby Portal Updates
- ‘Coaching Hub’ link has been updated to take you to the new coaching hub.
- ‘Ref Live’ link will appear for registered match officials.
- All registered coaches and match officials require a current Smart Rugby accreditation. If they do not have a current accreditation, a red alert bar will appear at the top of their Rugby Xplorer Portal, directing them to the Rugby AU Learning Centre to complete Smart Rugby.
- Privacy question answers have been updated to show ‘Private’ or ‘Public’ to assist participants easily identify their setting.
Rugby Xplorer App
- Ensure you have updated your Rugby Xplorer app for all the latest features including fixes to custom questions and linked accounts!
Find-a-Club Updates
- Search bar now shows you can search by club name, suburb, or postcode.
- The search radius for suburb and postcode has been extended to assist with regional participants finding clubs closer to them. Metro participants will see the closest club in the search results first.
- Remember to ensure your ‘My Club’ details, contacts, game formats and website are updated to show your clubs current details.
- Contact and Game Formats are mandatory fields if you wish to update any of your ‘My Club’ details.

Registration Updates
- Fixes to registration confirmation email for non-playing members.
Legacy Registrations
- ‘Legacy Registrations’ now appear in an individual’s Rugby Xplorer profile and for admins in Member Management.
- This includes all registrations in the Rugby database prior to 2019 when Rugby Xplorer was introduced.
- Rugby Xplorer admins can “retrieve legacy registrations” for a member if you believe they are missing some legacy registrations in the Member Management page.
Report Updates
- Credits and Refunds Report now includes ‘processed date’. This will assist entities reconcile any cash refunds on their entity card.
Admin Portal Updates
- User management will show primary account emails in black and linked account emails in red italics in the search results. User permissions can only be added to primary account holders.
- Date and Time info icon has been added within the match details. This explains that the time you see if your system’s time and the match will kick off based on the venue’s time zone (if they are different).
Rugby Xplorer & Microsoft
- On 10 January 2023, Microsoft stopped supporting older Windows versions and Google Chrome will be unable to be used on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. To continue using Google Chrome, your computer will require Windows 10 or later operating system.
- Please note, Rugby Xplorer will continue to work provided your Microsoft operating system supports this.
Cadbury's Cheer & A Half
- 42% of local sports clubs don’t have enough volunteers^. Additionally, a lot of clubs have been struggling financially since the COVID19 pandemic.
- To help out, in 2023, Cadbury is giving A Cheer & A Half to help support local sports clubs.
