Mid-Season Development Requirement Gathering
- Rugby Xplorer is continually evolving, let us know what developments you would like to see implemented into the system.
- Your submissions will be collated and discussed with the Rugby Advisory Committee at the end of this year, where if they are agreed, they are prioritised and scheduled for development.
- The Rugby Advisory Committee is a group of representations from all Member Unions who provide a voice for the clubs in their jurisdiction whilst providing a clear direction and recommendations for the system.

Competition > Team List Settings
- Team List settings have been updated and when a competition requires a team official, their compliance accreditations will also be ticked. Competition managers can select additional accreditation requirements for specific team officials in their competitions.
- Note, the national compliance accreditations for coach and match official is a current Smart Rugby accreditation.
- New competitions will automatically have ‘activate team lists’, ‘require coach on team list’ and ‘Coach - Require compliance accreditations’ ticked once created. For rugby events, these will automatically tick once the event has been approved by state admins (and the extra tabs appear).
- Please encourage all team admins to download the latest version of Rugby Match Day app (version 3.8) for these changes.
Admin Portal Updates
- When association admins are assigning assessing coaches for dispensations will only show active registered coaches in the search.
- Rugby Xplorer logo updated in Rugby Xplorer email communications.
- Payment settings > Discounts label updated to be “Enter Discount Description (e.g. Early Bird)”. Competition Cases Available info icon to be updated to show your system’s time zone.
- Registration Report filtering by club (bug that is resolved).
- Association admins able to create competition cases for other sport/activity & connected to a club successfully (bug that is resolved).
Rugby Xplorer Portal Updates
- “Help” button on bottom left-hand corner directs participants to the Rugby Xplorer Help website.
Club Donations & Australian Sports Foundation Setup
- Have there been club donations to your club this season?
- For your club receives donations made by your members and players in the 2023 season, you will need to be signed up with the ASF ASAP.
- This ensures that your donors receive a tax deductable receipt for this financial year.
- ASF sign up process is here.
- If you have any questions about signing up with the ASF, please contact their Fundraising Support Team at info@sportsfoundation.org.au or 02 5112 0990.
- Once you have received your ASF number please add it into the ‘Details’ tab of your ‘My Club’ page in Rugby Xplorer.
